2:22:38

We did it! Finished the Country Music Half Marathon on Saturday!
Final time: 2:22:38 - a little less than 11 minutes per mile. Not bad for people who don't really like to run that much!
I'm not sure if I would say it was "fun", but I did feel a sense of accomplishment when I was done. It was so fun for Daniel and I to do this together (we ran next to each other the whole way!)
When I get the picture of us at the finish line, I'll post it :)

Big Jule - and little Drooly!

Always dripping and wet! Are we teething?
Taking a nap with Dad today!
Daniel was in the production of "Guys and Dolls" at CPA this weekend and played the character "BIG JULE", a gangster from East Cicero Illinois. The character is sort of a doofus who always wants to gamble. He had a fantastic time being on the big stage!!
You can see that Daniel really took his part seriously!

Week in review

Last Sunday we had the honor of attending the baptism for Malachi, Isaiah's half brother and our Godson. From left to right: Doug(Malachi's Dad), Malachi, Kara, Ann (Malachi's Mom) Isaiah, and Daniel.
Here are the proud dads and sons
I went to Daniel's sister's (Michelle) house for a little play date this week. Here is Isaiah and Daniel Nouwen (Cousins - only 6 only six weeks apart). They are going to be buddies! Kara and Isaiah - outside enjoying the warm weather last week!!
Daniel and Isaiah hanging out on the back porch!
Snow flurries tomorrow??? Can it be possible?

Hair

My hair has been driving me crazy lately - for a number of reasons.
1. I now have a baby and don't get out of the house as much. Therefore I do not care what my hair looks like a lot of the time. And most of the time it looks bad.
2. I haven't seen my friend Amie who is about the only person I trust to do my hair since November. The last highlights I did myself right before I got Isaiah.
3. My hair is getting really long and with Isaiah always grabbing it, I have it in a ponytail a lot which shows my ugly roots.
4. I'm a cheap skate and hate to pay to get my hair done. To have it done the way I would like it - it would probably cost me $200 every 6 to 8 weeks. I just can't justify it.
So, I called Amie and she told me what color to dye it and I colored it what I like to call "low maintenance brown" today.
What do you think of the new color?
I have a new poll on my blog - so please vote and let me know if you prefer me a:
a) Blonde
b) Brunette
(sorry this isn't a great photo of me and my hair, but you get the point!)
Oh, and I know most of you check this blog to see Isaiah - so here's a picture of the little guy! Which speaking of hair - he is growing lots of it and it's turning more blondish brown and little less red.
