A quick blog on NYC

I (Kara) took a little weekend jaunt up to NYC last weekend and wanted to put a few pics up :)

I met my friend Tina from Kansas up there we had a blast.

Lunch at Landmarc restaurant at Time Warner building. Was I thrilled when I was told that they served cotton candy!!! I ate 2 by myself. And I was using restraint. If you go to NY - try Landmarc - it was great. www.landmarc-restaurant.com

Saturday night we saw The Proclaimers (you know, "If I could walk 500 miles.....") at the City Winery. A little Scottish-ness never hurt anyone. Fun show!

Oh, and these cupcakes. Let me tell you about these cupcakes. It's hard to tell from the picture but they are only about the size of a silver dollar. The one on the left is red velvet, the middle is called Tye Dye, and the last one S'more. They are from a little place called baked by melissa. www.bakedbymelissa.com . Too good.

How to get an 18 month old to sit still for an hour

I realize it's been some time since I've updated the blog. Daniel and I were just saying the other day that we need to be better about documenting Isaiah's life, especially since he is changing so much everyday! One thing we will both remember from this season of life is how Daniel mows the lawn with Isaiah on his back every week. It's hard to believe Isaiah will stay put and not fuss while Daniel mows and weedeats the entire front and backyard, but he seems to love the view from Dad's back. Enjoy!
